Heavy rains have lashed Tamil Nadu, inundating several areas. Schools and colleges in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts have been ordered to stay shut on Tuesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal regions over the next three days.
